Solar Garden Light Waterproof

Installing lighting in the garden using conventional electrical energy sources is expensive and risky, since the power cable has to be laid outdoors. There is always a risk that the wire will get cut due to adverse weather or wild animals, birds. Hence many people are interested in installing solar garden lighting, since no electrical wiring will be required for the lamp. Additionally since the lamp is solar powered, the property owner also does not have to pay the electricity charges for using the lamp in the garden.

The garden light has a sensor for detecting the lighting levels, and will automatically switch on at night, switch off during the day. If the solar light is exposed to sunlight for the entire day, it can be used to provide lighting for approximately eight hours at night. The light has a solar panel of rating 0.4 W mounted on the top. The solar energy is then converted into electrical energy and stored in the battery rated at 1.2 V 500 mAH at the bottom of the solar light. The lamp has three white LEDs for illumination. It also has a switch at the base, to switch it off when it is not in use.

The solar light is made from ABS plastic, so that it is durable. It is also water proof conforming to IP44, and can be used during winter, snowfall and heavy rains without any major problem. There are different versions of the solar light available for depending on where it is being installed. If the light is installed on the flat surface of the wall a smaller version of height 20 cm, base of width 8.4 cm, and top side of width 13.8 cm is available. The solar panel is installed on the top side of the lamp. In case the solar lamp is directly fixed in the garden, a longer version with a spike of total length 46.5 cm is available.
